As near as I got to damaging my karma by terminating a turtle was in HS where our music teacher (Charles Bryan) had a standing offer to help turn a turtle shell into a banjo. He cautioned that he had to inspect a live turtle though. None of my captures ever made the grade so they went back into the lake to gain some size! I didn’t know that about snappers, John!
